Services include physical examinations, vaccinations, deworming guidance, dental care for horses, nutrition and management discussions, and individualized wellness recommendations based on your animals and farm.
 Goat & Sheep Care
Modern Equine provides mobile veterinary care for goats and sheep, from individual pets to small herds. Services include wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite management, hoof care, reproductive care, surgical disbudding, castration, and evaluation and treatment of illness and injuries. Herd health consultation is also available to help address management and preventive care needs.
Advanced Dentistry
 Regular dental care is an important part of your horse's overall health and comfort. Dental examinations can identify sharp points, uneven wear and other problems that may contribute to difficulty chewing, weight loss or discomfort. Modern Equine provides routine dental examinations and floating using powered dental equipment.
Field Procedures & Surgery
Modern Equine provides selected field procedures and surgical services when appropriate, including castrations, surgical disbudding, wound repair and certain mass removals. Surgical care is evaluated individually based on the animal, the procedure and the available facilities.
Lameness Examinations
Whether your horse is a performance athlete or a pleasure companion, a thorough lameness evaluation can help identify the source of pain and guide treatment. Modern Equine provides comprehensive lameness examinations tailored to the individual horse, combining hands-on evaluation, diagnostic techniques and years of clinical experience.
Modern Equine works closely with farriers when appropriate to coordinate hoof care and therapeutic shoeing as part of your horse's treatment plan.
Imaging
Modern Equine offers portable digital radiography (X-ray) and ultrasound, allowing many diagnostic evaluations to be performed conveniently at your farm. Digital imaging can assist in evaluating lameness, injuries and other medical conditions and helps guide treatment decisions.
Pre-Purchase Examination
Purchasing a horse is an important decision. Modern Equine provides thorough pre-purchase examinations tailored to the horse, its intended use and the buyer's needs. Examinations may include a comprehensive physical and soundness evaluation, with additional diagnostics such as digital radiographs and ultrasound when appropriate.
Reproductive Care
Modern Equine provides reproductive care for mares, including breeding soundness evaluations, breeding management and artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis and monitoring. Portable ultrasound can be performed conveniently at the farm. Routine newborn foal examinations and care are also available.
