Dr. Eva Casucci founded Modern Equine, Inc. to provide personal, practical veterinary care at the farm and to build lasting relationships with her clients and their animals. She has been practicing veterinary medicine on California's Central Coast since 2011.

Born and raised in Hungary, Dr. Eva has had a passion for horses since childhood. She graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on equine medicine and surgery. After veterinary school, she completed a year of advanced training in equine medicine and surgery as a veterinary intern at Pacific Crest Equine, a large specialty practice in California's Central Valley. She went on to work in a variety of equine practices before founding Modern Equine.

Today, Dr. Eva provides mobile veterinary care for horses, donkeys, goats and sheep throughout Santa Cruz County and surrounding areas. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, dentistry, lameness, diagnostic imaging and small-ruminant medicine. She especially values getting to know her clients, their animals and their farms over time and helping them make practical, informed decisions about their animals' care.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Eva enjoys spending time with her family, riding, biking, hiking and traveling.
